To Plant the Gospel Throughout Silicon Valley
Successful Gospel ministry is not measured by how many people attend a service on Sunday but by how deeply the Gospel impacts our city. What the first Christians got excited about was the advance of the Gospel. As the message ‘prevailed’ the lives of men and women were changed (Acts 19.20). And as lives were changed so was the world.
“Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the
word of the Lord may speed ahead and
be honored, as happened among you.”
~ 2 Thessalonians 3:1
Planting the Gospel means giving people the truth and also giving them our lives. This is how Paul described his ministry in one of the cities he labored in:
We were ready to share with you not only the Gospel of God, but also our own selves, because you had become
very dear to us.
– 1 Thessalonians 2.8
The seed that we plant is the message of the Gospel but we fertilize it by laying down our lives for those around us. Jesus said it this way:
…unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,
it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
– John 12.24
